Dear CIG, I think most of us understand the tremendous effort put in by the Devs to get this patch out. Sure there has been some frustration in the community about how long we had to wait for a working version of 3.18 but largely we all understood why it was taking so long, because CIG had taken pains to explain just how technically challenging the implementation of PES was going to be. It was that communication that helped dampen the flames of community outrage at the delay. And I personally would like to commend CIG for making that effort to allay community frustration at the extended testing in the PTU to bring 3.18 to Live. However with the patch drop and the subsequent train wreck of glacier speed queue movement, entitlement processing without entitlement granting, 19004 errors resulting in the whole pointless procedure having to be embarked upon again and again and again.....CIG's apparent silence is somewhat baffling. While the internet is on fire offering a range of opinions and solutions to the problem varying from the slightly plausible to the laughably incoherent, CIG is seemingly running silent. I have tried a range of the more plausible solutions and even in desperation attempted one of the less incoherent ones that involved a chicken, a bar of soap and an activity at midnight in the backyard that will keep the neighbors talking for years.... But I digress. A lot of this frustration could have been quickly and simply avoided by a Spectrum post in a prominent position, not some dim, cobwebbed corner of the website. that explained to the community nothing more than if the problem was server related or client related. Even such a simple explanation as this would stop people, uninstalling, reinstalling, deleting user files, verifying installs, verifying accounts, interacting with soapy chickens and a host of other pointless so-called fixes. Thanks again for all your efforts in bringing this patch to Live and I hope to be able to play it some time in the not too distant future.
