It's Octorber 1st, Q3 is over, so I'd like to be the first to congratulate this awesome group of people on their hard work! This is a huge milestone, and it encourages me to see it making progress! It's a joy to be a backer to the most open and honest game development project ever. If there were delays they would have told us, as stated and signed here: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/the-pledge All it would take to uphold their openness and honesty is to write down a few simple words before October 1st: "Squadron 42 is not gonna enter internal Beta at the time we expected." (Treating us with the respect they'd give a publisher and all.) They're clearly aware we wanted the info, and have been working on a roadmap, a roadmap for the roadmap, a video with unbelievable amounts of b-roll, etc some of this for almost a year, after over a year of not updating the previous roadmap. To quote Briam Chambers himself, about how forthcoming they are with information: "What other AAA games are giving the level of detail that we do?" - https://youtu.be/sPWc4hlyUu0?t=426 Doesn't it feel great to have invested in this most open and most wonderful project?  Cheers to Squadron 42 Beta! :beers: [ps.: SC is wonderful, beautiful, I'm thankful that someone is building such a detailed space game. I'm used to Alphas and don't mind bugs, I'm okay with taking a long time, take 10 more years if that's what it truly takes to build this without any compromises, I'll give it more money. Be buggy, take forever, take my money. The one single thing that breaks my heart, and my confidence, and my excitement, is the icky feeling I get when they sign their names under such great ideals (https://robertsspaceindustries.com/the-pledge) and then watch the date roll by without saying the simple words "it's delayed, sorry 'bout that, development is hard." ] I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Maybe it'll all turn out okay. But choosing to not give the news before this symbolic date doesn't look good. :broken_heart:
