Star Citizen has essentially become a playground for PvP and griefing enthusiasts. It’s the easiest game for them. In other titles like Rust or Fortnite, the odds are high that you’ll encounter like-minded PvP players, which means real opponents rather than easy victims. But those who currently treat Star Citizen as a pure PvP arena don’t want that — they’re usually looking for easy prey. And with zero consequences in place, combined with a community that leans much more toward PvE, finding those victims in Star Citizen is easier than ever. I’ve played quite a few PvP games, and in the overwhelming majority there was at least some kind of informal honor code among PvP players. Of course, there were always exceptions. But because of the lack of consequences and the abundance of easy victims in Star Citizen, it has attracted a very particular type of PvP player — the kind that often wouldn’t stand a chance in other games.
