I saw that there was a thread about a player being unhappy with his 3 day ban following some ingame actions around GH. Now I need to get it out of the way that I enjoy contested zones, Hathor and Lazarus. The blend of pve and pvp makes for unique game sessions and unlikely group compositions. And with the right squad, it can be immense fun. Even if you're the type of player that is not so much into pvp. At least that's my experience with the people that I run this content with. But what I read does make me think of actions having consequences. What precedent does this set? Did pvp finally reach its limit in the PU? How's it going to affect Pyro? How's that going to affect other open POIs that encourage players crossing each others paths like Onyx? Its not surprising why this dude and his entourage have gotten the boot and I've got my interpretation of CIGs position on this topic. But if it shows one thing its that a lot of stuff ingame is not compatible with one another and the different parts of the game don't support each other. No amount of but security and reputation is not ingame yet can fix this. I disagree with this guy camping GH but I'm not comfortable with this kind of artificial regulation either. To the pvp hardliners: You had enough time to regulate yourselves with some sort of piracy code or whatever. The days where og pvpers would frown upon this sort of behaviour ingame are long gone. Its only deserved that you got the yellows eyeballing you after you've transformed this game into a zero trust society. Let the picard palms flow!
