Too many players refer to PVPers and Griefers interchangeably, but they are NOT the same thing! PvP players, enjoy competition on an even playing field. They thrive on challenges where their opponents are prepared, ready, and genuinely interested in competing. This mutual consent is what makes PvP rewarding—it's a test of skill and strategy. PvP players want an environment where everyone participating is eager and equipped to engage, creating fun, fair, and meaningful gameplay. Griefers, on the other hand, have different motivations. They specifically target players who do NOT want to engage in PvP. Their enjoyment comes from non-consensual combat, ruining another player's experience rather than engaging in fair competition. For griefers, introducing PvP servers defeats their purpose because they lose access to unwilling targets. TLDR: real PvP players support PvE and PvP server distinctions. It ensures everyone involved in PvP actually wants to participate, making the experience enjoyable for everyone involved. Those resisting PvE options aren't advocating for a better PvP experience—they're advocating for griefing.
