This is single-handedly the best ever market killing patch in the history of Star Citizen. I am impressed. Limits on wallet transfers? Ok, I can sorta agree, but a 1M cap or less? With rate limits? How is a corp able to function or traders able to sell loot and parts for aUEC as part of a regular loop? How will limits deal with inflation? How can groups of miners/salvagers/crews/players properly pay out rewards for doing something together? How can international trade continue if they have to be online to receive? Player to player transactions of any kind are hampered if not outright halted if it takes more time to pay someone than to do the thing you're paying for. I am the owner of a corp of nearly 4k. We do a lot of trading. In fact, our competitive advantage is our corp bank - that is the generous pile of aUEC that the grassroots donate in amounts from 100k to 100M sometimes out of the hard working profits of their hands, to help other corp members in need, cover trade losses when pirates attack, fund corp ops and ammo costs, fund corp uniforms, subsidize corp fighters for corp protection. Not to mention peer to peer economy of selling loot and parts to people. Transaction limits of this draconian nature halt ALL of it. Player Trade Notifications Refactor with Economy Authorization Service Replacing the player aUEC trade flow with an authorization-ticket model that will require both parties to consent to the trade before it completes. The receiving player will receive a notification alert when aUEC is sent, prompting them to accept or deny. The sender will have a pending message. If not accepted in time by the receiver, the transaction will cancel. This system also introduces trade rate limits and amount caps. I tested a 1M transaction to a few members. Even just the first one. It was denied. Even that doesn't even cover the cost of a simple trade loss to pirates, nor 1/5 of a corp fighter we subsidize to members to help protect our trade routes. I then sent 100k. That went through. So the limit is at least under 1M and over 100k. Published anywhere? So in addition to no info on limits, they are just simply in place now. Was anyone consulted on this in the player base? I can only imagine that the UEX market is completely halted. Most transactions are at least several million, and several times per day for those making it a loop. Corps likely send out millions per day from a shared account that everyone contributes to. What are you giving us then as a solution to these very obvious needs? CIG, please revert this terrible game-killing decision. Or at the very least give us corp tools and player markets in game before killing the ONLY method that corps have to share resources and help one another. Until then, you've effectively hamstringed corporations in this game, as well as individuals dependent on the player to player markets that exist in game and developed by fans. We make the content that drives buyers to the game! I agree with the econ wipe, and the behind the scenes work you guys do to stem duping and inflation. But it was all quiet, and now you've used a sledge hammer to wack a gnat somewhere. And in the process you've killed the patient you were trying to save. o7 inigma_X CEO Interstellar Trading Corporation (ITCN) Edit 1: I tested, you can send ⓤ995,024 max to a corp mate since the fee is also included in the limit. this needs upped by 10-50x asap as a band-aid to get econ working again. Edit 2: I tested, sending 20x to an online corp mate. This was successful, but having to search for the recipient in the buggy recipient finder, and making him wait and click on each and every transaction, it took 30 minutes of pain. Doable thankfully, but a pain. Too painful to be practical for an org, or middle-of-an-op, or even likely a transaction involving someone in another gaming time zone who is not online. I am guessing then the daily rate limit is 100M? I've opened an Issue Council bug report for this. Hopefully someone sees it and we get this drastic change reverted or at least add a few more zeros to the limits. https://issue-council.robertsspaceindustries.com/projects/STAR-CITIZEN/issues/STARC-210814 Edit 3: also thinking: what's to prevent RMTs from doing this with a bot? Or simply buying commodities in game en masse and transacting with commodities to offload millions, or turning scrip into a currency? RMT finds a way. Limits only give them a speedbump, but hurt everyone else. final edit: CIG if you want numbers, as corp bank for 4k people in a trading org, my average transaction is about 8M, up to 100M for partner bank transfers, averaging about 50M per day transacted. One time player transactions can easily hit up to 40M for large subsidized purchases on top of that. I think I transact on average about 100M per day on a busy weekend. Those are all halted now. We at least need a 50M transaction limit, and a 200M per day limit to function in the current economy. Anyone doing more than that is either a larger corp, a busier trader, or doing RMT. It'd be better if you didn't have any limits, but you have my data. Edit 4: I was able to send a player 50M max this morning, and apparently rate limits are counting declined transactions too. Not sure what happened. But still both parties have to be online. This online requirement is killing the ability for people to still receive payouts, or donate when the destination party is offline. The limit increase if it is one, is an improvement for sure, assuming this isn't due to servers currently being bugged and degraded. But please remove the requirement for both parties to be online to transact. There's got to be a better way.
