"Just hire an escort." 99.99% of players will never work as an escort, hire a random player as an escort, or ever use an escort to move cargo or otherwise valuable material. The whole idea of hiring an escort is a fantasy, and its the crutch of so many arguments in regard to moving cargo. The truth is: People will scout with alts. Anyone "escorting" something will end up having whatever ship they are escorting being killed far before you can protect it, which will promote scouting not escorting. There will be far too many cargo ships ingame for people to all "hire an escort", its impractical and ultimatly wont be worth it. If you have something valuable enough to need an active escort (rarely will this be the case), you'll likely be in an organization and you wont be paying anyone they'll do it for free.
