The design direction for FPS gameplay in SC has been changing for quite a while. We have now got a very action focused CoD like experience with long TTK, hitmarkers, killmarkers, teammarkers and everything you would expect from a modern console title. Little risk, run and gun, fire until you get hitmarkers, rinse and repeat. And having seen the way this game is played by the dev who is responsible for these design choices it makes perfect sense. This is intended to become space-CoD, not space-Arma. This stream was a bit of an eye-opener for me, and I now realise this game will never be what I hoped it would be because the devs just aren't trying to make the same game that was talked about 3 or 4 years ago. Even if all the technical issues are overcome, that fact will remain unless there is a major change in direction once SQ42 releases. As for the stream itself; it's a shame, I think this content format could be really good. Show the gameplay, warts and all. Talk about how it is designed to run, talk about the bugs and planned fixes, talk about future changes, what has been learnt, what you are hoping to learn. Instead we got nearly 2 hours of uncomfortable "banter", teamkilling, lack of focus, and learnt... nothing? Well, nothing apart from the fact that the servers aren't responsible for all our woes. I feel for Ollie, he was trying to keep this professional but he was hung out to dry for the most part. Edit: Just to be clear this is not an attack on a Dev. This is me stating clearly that I don't agree with that devs vision of the game, and it appears that he is very much in charge of how a significant portion of this game is going to end up.
