I think that's the best way to describe it, The old flight model may have had some issues, but it excited me, it felt organic, it was intuitive, it was fluid, it was FUN, and it made me look forward to playing, (daily player) It had something magical that made it transcend its code and mathematics where it was both player-friendly, yet it kept on challenging me to do better every single time, with no tangible skill ceiling. The new model retains a lot of the functionality, but somehow without what made flying in Star Citizen special, it feels generic, it feels artificially limited, like someone tried to make a copy from memory but missed a bunch of the marks, and it reminds me every 30 seconds or so i'm playing a videogame and nothing more, and this is not being sentimental, or "adverse to change" since learning a few new buttons or mouse clicks is not the end of the world, the whole experience just feels off.
