If you got an already overpriced game asset or the $800 Perseus, you need to pay $22 more to get a skin for it. Bare in mind, in 2015 or 2016 CIG promised us that we'll be able to use hex codes to make our own skins "because it's the easiest thing to do, and they use it all the time" Basically if you only have a Perseus on your account, you also need a game package, therefore that's $20 more. So $20 + $800 LOL + $22 Let me tell you, the game that is one of the most popular multiplayer releases of this year (Arc Raiders) costs $40. And the skins were too high ($20), so the devs acknowledged that they're overpriced and they halved the prices and refunded everyone that bought skins before they lowered the price. Yet CIG that keeps on telling us "we're not releasing ships without their game loops anymore", just released a $150 ship made for crafting - but we don't have crafting in the game. But instead of either waiting, they hyped crafting during CitCon, even though they don't even have the UI for crafting yet. And if you followed the development of this game for long enough, UI is one of the first things they make, and they stick with it for years. We've seen that with the first inventory, and then this inventory (5th year), engineering etc etc. Therefore, it's obvious that crafting isn't even as close to getting released as they wanted us to think. We can't even know because this company thinks that "transparent development" calls you "roadmap watchers" and "noise" just to removes the roadmap because you were hoping that they'll stick to the plan at least once in their lives. But no, we get a game that has major patches just to push a sale, and none of them work properly (this patch has the contracts not working at all), and a "year of stability and bugsmashing" that did nothing for the game. I didn't play in a year, I just came back to see that the game still has all the bugs from a year ago. Don't get me started on the 5 hour login queue, that's still happening even 3 days after the patch day. Even on patch day it shouldn't happen, because it's not a fully released game and a first release of a company that got surprised by how popular their game become. Again, since I've mentioned them - Embark didn't know that ARC Raiders was going to be so popular (and more popular than bf6) and they had login issues on launch that lasted for 20 MINUTES. And they gave players free ingame currency as an apology. The question is - what are we paying for when we give CIG $800 for a single ship that doesn't even do what it's supposed to, and $22 for the skin or $150 for the clipper? Yet, CIG keeps on doing this, and the community is ok with it. Question for the community: how in the hell are you ok with this?
