Any gameplay loop you can currently do in Star Citizen, is done better in another game elsewhere. With the only exception being the Space Flight which used to be engaging, unique and tied all of the other gameplay loops together. Yes it had problems. Yes it needed balancing. No one who wants this to be a good experience for all is arguing it was perfect. If you have a local Pizza store that has been making pizza for your community, but makes pizza with sub-par pepperoni, olives, green peppers and so on, but really good bread and cheese, you probably wouldn't care about the quality of the toppings because that's not why you are there. But when the cheese is replaced with Kraft singles because its more kid friendly and the Bread is replaced with Gluten Free crust because that's the latest trend to appeal to the wider crowd, the pizza turns to crap and you realize that the rest of it, just isn't that good and basically never was. This is what is happening now. This is why there are daily anti-MM threads, Spectrum is as toxic as ever, and if you go into Org Discords, you're going to find everyone who still hangs out playing different games. I obviously don't have stats to prove it, but it sure feels like no one is playing anymore. I need to server hop at least 10-15 times to find players in the wild to fight, cant even get my group to log on and Org chats are dead. This isn't even including a rant about the wait times for cargo, showering (seriously?), FPS turning into paintball meets Battlefield and other changes I would not call content as they only make the experience worse. I really want this game to succeed. I truly believe the Devs are working hard to make this game better and love them to death for the work done. I too, want this to be the last game I ever play. But here we are on our 4th FM change, 10 years later, still waiting on a release date for SQ42 and now find myself logging in with anticipation only to be disappointed with what it has become. Anyway...end rant, proceed to tell me how I have been fooling myself about the "Vision" I have been intently following since 2015 and how 2018-2023 was never an indicator of how the game was supposed to be.
