I see a lot of posts about complaining and then get blasted for complaining. As a backer for the vast majority of this project, I think people have a right to complain. Sure, you can say "it's an alpha" but hear me out. 13 years later and we are still breaking core functionality, like calling a ship from the ASOP. Elevators still don't work right and the list goes on and on and on. I think there is a VERY reasonable expectation that certain portions of the game should've already been 100% functional and not broken with each update. So, when someone complains about their ship not being called properly, or the inventory system dumping all of their stuff, go easy on them. And before we draw comparisons to development cycles like GTA 6 (as people are prone to do for some reason) I'd like to say, I'm certain basic game development, i.e. NPC pathfinding, inventory management, shooting, basic biped animation systems, even garage storage for vehicles, etc., were working properly at this point in development. The reality is there isn't much of an excuse for CIG on those types of things. I'm prepared for 4.4 to be a shit show. 4.3.2 wasn't as bad as 3.18 but it got close. I'll still play, and it will be frustrating but I'm hoping the end result is the best space sim ever and a game I can play well into my old age. It's the ONLY reason I, and probably a lot of y'all, come back again and again.
