This is getting ridiculous. A few of us ran the Contested Zones at Checkmate, Orbituary, and Ruin Station yesterday, and honestly, it was a huge disappointment. There was virtually no loot. Not a single MPC. After spending all that time, we were left asking ourselves: what are we even playing anymore? I love Star Citizen. I genuinely want this game to succeed. That's why it's so frustrating to see it in its current state. It honestly feels like things started falling apart after CIG hit the $1 billion funding milestone. I don't want to believe they've become complacent, but it's getting harder not to wonder. Every time players get frustrated, we're told the next patch may fix it. Now we're hearing that 4.9 is being rolled back to add more fixes. We've heard this before. Remember when CIG said they were moving to a two-month patch cycle so they could release weekly hotfixes and improve stability? That never really turned into the experience many of us were hoping for. I'm not even going to get into the rest of the game's issues—we all know what they're like. Yesterday was the first time my group seriously asked, "Why are we spending our time doing this?" The gameplay wasn't enjoyable. It felt like a complete waste of time. At this point, I'd rather see CIG stop focusing on 4.9, 4.10, and whatever comes next. Put new features on hold for a while. Focus on making the current game stable, rewarding, and fun. Fix the existing systems, the servers, the missions, and the gameplay loops. Once the foundation is solid, then start adding more content. I can't be the only one who feels this way.
