To the CIG Dev Team: Where are the rest of the gameplay loops that were promised? Mining is still riddled with issues, rocks go invisible, un-mineable deposits clutter the system, and the loop hasn't seen meaningful polish in years. Salvaging is barebones. Medical gameplay feels half-realized and rarely worth engaging with. Repair and exploration two professions that many of us backed the game for still don’t meaningfully exist. Meanwhile, PvP continues to be the only area that sees frequent development. And yes, it’s the lowest-hanging fruit easier to iterate on compared to building complex systems that simulate a living universe. But not all of us pledged for a Tarkov-in-space experience. Many of us backed Star Citizen to explore, build, and live in a believable, immersive sci-fi world, not just shoot our way through one. Yet we’re called “cowards” for not wanting to constantly engage in PvP? Let me be very clear: Relaxing in a simulated space environment, running cargo, mining, healing, salvaging those are legitimate playstyles. That’s not cowardice. Wanting to enjoy the game without being forced into combat 24/7 isn’t weakness. It’s the vision many of us believed you were selling us. And for the record: I’ve seen real combat. I served my country. I was there when things got real during Desert Storm, during 9/11, in the Middle East long before most of the current team was even out of school. I’ve done my duty, and I don’t need to prove anything in a game. This isn’t about ego. It’s about your responsibility to deliver on the wide array of gameplay loops that this project promised over a decade ago. Right now, Star Citizen is beginning to look like a PvP playground with a thin sci-fi veneer. It could be so much more, and should be. So I ask again: Where are the professions? Where is the vision? When will the rest of the game arrive? It's been 13 years and you're still reiterating the flight system. something that should have been nailed down in the very beginning and built upon. You can do better. And after all these years, we deserve better.
