Original Post [So since we all share missions when someone goes to a derelict planet mission (ie. the missing persons one) another person comes up to blow your ship up and if they can you to. We need to have something to prevent trolling, especially in alpha. There is NO benefit for them killing you and you can't even tell who it was. How is anyone supposed to test any missions?] End of Original Post So there seems to be a little confusing that I think PvP shouldn't exist, that is not the case. I am against people destroying the ships of others simply to make them stop playing. Here is my situation: I want to experience something that 3.0 brings so I take a derelict mission on a planet (the missing person one). It is late/early morning so nobody I know is on (plus I don't want to make others deal with my constant crashing) so I take out my Connie and proceed to the planet. after getting to the planet it takes me about 5-10 minutes to get to the site and land my ship. I know there's cargo strewn about the wreck so I lower the cargo bay (this next part is kind of important) AND LEAVE IT DOWN so I can see what it's like bring cargo back from a wreck. So after futzing around with a few boxes (loading them into the cargo bay) and exploring the wreck (30+ minutes after landing) I find a corpse and get 30 credits (he was the captain). This signals to the griefer that there is a person at this derelict (everyone who accepts the mission gets a failed mission message for that section when someone else completes it) and heads over to the derelict. I hear a ship come in and look around to see if he's friend or foe. The griefer starts shooting the stationary ship with lowered cargo bay and a few boxes until it blows up. He then circles the wreck a bit until he sees where I had been watching him from and kills me. This is the kind of behavior I am talking about. And needs to be addressed. I think we, the backers, should rally together and let CIG know that this is something we want addressed. the loud minority seems to be in favor of blowing people up because they can. I say we, the quiet majority, band together! TL:DR senseless murder and piracy are totally different! Murderers should be severely punished.
