With 3.16 going live and the absolutely fantastic Final gift... it’s left me wondering, do CiG even care about what the community thinks anymore? I want to first of all say, I completely understand how hard it can be trying to squeeze everything in for the holidays, and I understand why 3.16 is feeling a bit light, and that’s ok. However what isn't ok, is making changes that negatively impact gameplay experiences and then refusing to accept community feedback. Of course at the end of the day cig has the final say in how their game is developed and how it comes out. However as someone who has supported this project for a long time and put money into it, I’d like to hear my voice heard. First of all, with the ion changes, it has turned the ship from a good ship, which accurately gave us what we pledged for, into a near useless ship that has a repeater instead of a cannon. People have complained and suggested changes to make the ship more balanced, but they’ve fallen on deaf ears it seems. But it doesn’t end there, how does cig give back to the community that supports them through all this? They give out skins that portions of their player base can’t even use. Or they give us a nice looking wallpaper. These aren’t terrible gifts, as the wallpapers do look nice, and the skins are at least well made. But then for the final day, they give us a picture of something we can look forward to purchasing in the future. This is just spitting in the face of your fans and supporters. How about cig think of the community as people instead of cash cows for once? And moving on, the cutlass steel. I really like the idea for this ship, I like the idea of a smaller and more affordable dropship. Except it’s not that, it costs more than DOUBLE a regular cutlass, and all you get are some more size 1 weapons, and some chairs. No extra shield. Its actually SLOWER than the regular cutlass, and all around it feels to me, and many others , like a shameless cash grab. I could go on about more issues, the lumalina presents being nerfed, the redeemer turret nerf, the absolutely terrible state of the servers right now, all of it adds up to feel like cig no longer cares about their community, they say they care, and that we made this year special, but then spit in our faces in the end with terrible nerfs, shameless cash grabs, and awful gifts. I really enjoy star citizen, and I want to see it do better. I’ve stuck with the project through a lot, but this most recent patch cycle has me wishing I spent my money elsewhere. Please do better CiG, we all know you can.
