As I started backing this project back in 2012 I really looked forward to a clear, transparent development of this game. It was told that the project will be transparent, the backer are involved with decisions for the game etc. Those days there was a real talk between the community and the developers. There have been videos and shorts like bug smasher which have been funny but interesting as well. Those days you could really talk about “and what do we have learned this week?!” After years of telling us what happens and what will happen the information you gave to us decreased. The response from CIG to user questions decreased similarly. Today you hear always: Post it in the spectrum, the devs surely will read this! Yeah – IF they read it they don’t give a f***. They don’t care. No responses, no emotion, nothing. You could compare CIG equal to Blizzards story. In the past there have been developers who have been desired to create a “whole new world”. A “next generation game”. Now it’s all about the money. Every decision is made only is based on “how can we get the most profit out of it”. You really can feel this as a backer. And most of your decisions are not even comprehensible. Latest example is the “new PTU access”-thing. If you really care about the GAME your decision should be: Most active people in IC should be the very first! Not the subscriber (10 $ one month ;D), maybe even not the concierges (1000 $ to 25000 $ and above. By the way: 25000 divided by 10 would be 2500 ;D just to show you how disproportionate your “subs are first”-decision is. If you really care about the game, your community, the future of the game etc … You only have to do ONE thing! Care about your f*** backers. Show them appreciation. Give them what you promised them back in 2012/2013: transparency If you advert to your roadmap that “all urgent and important stuff” is there. MAYBE you should put this “important stuff” on the roadmap. It is very implausible that Squadron 42 for example is almost as close to “vanilla” as it seems to be on the roadmap! And for Star Citizen – and I guess the majority in here wait only for THIS, not for Squadron – it’s pretty equal. There’s almost nothing left on the roadmap. So what we have learned this week? - treat your community how you supposed to do - show your community appreciation - be fair to your employer (yeah – I guess you can say it this way) - stop mess around your community
