To be clear this post is not about CIG selling land, nor is it about gameplay mechanics. It is about CIG excluding store credit from being used for this particular purchase. Why is there no store credit version for these in the store? Someone is going to point this out as a money grab and they would be right for doing so. EDIT: Okay I don't know why there are people making excuses for what CIG has done. I don't know if it is an attempt at trolling people or what, but this is not some trivial incident. Important Points: 1. This item was tagged under CLASSIFIED, which increased its level of attention for everyone and likely caused them to melt items in preparation to buy it. 2. This item has now become the first digital item to never not get a Credit Purchase option since the very beginning of this project. 3. There was absolutely NO ADVANCED WARNING that the new classified concept item was going to be Cash Only. Something that we all can agree should have happened. 4. People who have a lot of store credit got all that store credit by continuing to support this project. This isn't Cryptocurrency where it continues to grow as time goes on. We would love that but our store credit doesn't grow over time when we don't continue to add to it. Even still that money is still there for CIG to use and we do keep adding to it. If you didn't still need everyone on board you wouldn't still have the CCU system that Early Backers are still paying into this day. Off-topic Question: When was the last time we ever had an anniversary sale were there was not one, not two, but three concept items at once? Odd. Do I really have to say just how shady it is that this move was made without advanced warning which we should have received a week ago? When did that change? Do you know what message it sends to Early Backers? It gives the impression that CIG were afraid that If they had given advanced warning Early Backers would have stopped supporting the project in retaliation. It says more and more that they feel they don't really need our our support or that we are no longer giving enough regardless of the coffers they are currently sitting on top of. So many people here are suggesting that stored money no longer matters, as if it is money already spent. If that is the case there is a bigger problem at hand no? They have said they have plenty of OUR money in reserve, if that is the case then what why was this stunt pulled? This was an extremely bad hand to play. I wonder what Alpha 3.0 would look like right now if Early Backers, especially the Original and Veteran Backer types had stopped continuing to support SC after that third year? Many here would say the game would have launched and that's possible, but it likely wouldn't look like it does today now would it? Just sayin'.
