At no point in the development of this project was Star Citizen claimed to be a theme park but for some reason every day people fight tooth and nail to water and casualise down the experience. Why? One of the only things that has remained consistent from Roberts original video to today is the idea of SC being a Sandbox. A sandbox with rules (in areas that warrant rules) but still a sandbox. Instead theres a flood of posts celebrating a removal of consequence, and calls to remove multiple other challenges and consequences. If you want a consequence free spaceship power fantasy, why did you come here instead of play one of the existing ones? Is it a cope, so you can say you play a tough game when talking to others instead of just accepting you want No Mans Sky but with bigger spaceships? If you would rather die than consider the idea of working with others, asking for help or interacting with other players or even around other players, why did you come here? If you read sandbox when what you really wanted out of a game was a themepark, why did you come here? Why buy into something, ignoring what it says it aims to be and fight the devs on every step toward their stated goal? Edit to show - a 200 person difference out of 1000 isnt a very big one.
