I like the concept behind Star Citizen, and a few years ago I really enjoyed playing the alpha test environment Live Service Version. I’ve asked myself the following questions: - Do I still agree with the direction the game’s development is taking? — I have to answer “no.” - Do I think it’s okay for the money I’ve contributed to be used for the development of SQ42? — I have to answer “no” because I’m absolutely not interested in SQ42. - Do I like the way ship development is handled? For example, it’s obvious that older ships become less well-balanced over time to create an incentive to buy new ones. - I find that off-putting - Do I enjoy playing the game? - I have to say no—it has way too many time sinks. Playing it mostly just feels like a waste of time. Every now and then, it’s cool to fly around and enjoy the view a bit. Unfortunately, flying itself has become incredibly boring, and for years now, no one at CIG has cared that nobody likes it. - One last reason: I firmly believe that the only reason CIG would change anything is money. So this is the only signal I can send as a customer. I can only advise everyone who feels the same way: hold onto your money until the situation changes.
