Tired of hearing this rant. Anyone that says this, or any variation of this, obviously is clueless about how long it takes to make a game. SC started development in 2012 which is the same time that Cyberpunk 2077, Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem all started development. Mass Effect: Andromeda was so panned on release that the new trilogy was cancelled. And while it was a financial success (barely) it is routinely used as an example of what not to do. Most of the issues being traced back to rushed development and unrealistic deadlines. Anthem, also from Bioware and EA, should have learned from those lessons. They didn't. Another rushed product has led to another poor bug riddled launch with questionable gameplay decisions. Cyberpunk 2077 has thus far avoided this issue. They have repeatedly stated that they will release when ready and that they'll be ready when they are happy with the product. I wish we had more info about Cyberpunk 2077 but I like that CD Projekt is giving there developers time to make a good product. Two of those three games are single player titles with limited battle arenas and the other is just a MOBA. SC is releasing a single player title that is going to be a full AAA title. They are also releasing the largest first person universe MMO ever. If established companies have difficulty releasing products of course its going to take a new company longer to release a product that overall is significantly larger than all of them combined. I'm glad that CIG is willing to take a step back and retool things like the flight model. I'm glad that they're willing to take the time to invest in newer and deeper technologies such as the AI. In the end this will provide a better product and experience.
