So I had the pleasure of trying out the Super Hornet this week-end. I'm running keyboard & mouse and using the standard gimballed guns and IM-mode - my question is as follows: Where is the skill in moving the mouse around to rain fire down on where you put the mouse cursor? I mean, if the guns on the SH had auto aimed instead, it wouldn't have mattered much as far as skill required to play the game. Anyone over 6 years old are able to move a mouse cursor over the screen to hit some moving target box. If that's what required to be skillful, then CIG could just as well remove manual aiming at all - and just introduce auto-aim for the guns. Then we could see the end of all these threads regarding IM, gimbals, etc.
