This is a high resolution chart of my own design comparing the various ships of Star Citizen at a scale of 10 pixels-per-meter. I do my best to keep this chart up to date at all times. All ships have been scaled individually and are as accurate as my best information and judgement allows. In the case of some ships, stats can not be reconciled with proportions of the renders/models available to me. In these cases, I take the liberty of using my own best estimates. However, a few remaining renders were provided by @sebman. Sebman has not been maintaining his chart for some time, now, but it was a direct inspiration for my own and he deserves my thanks for that. Sebman's chart and renders can be found here: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/188124/ship-dimensions-overview/p1 Stuff I get asked, sometimes: Where did you get all these ship models? Most of the ship models shown in this image come from the website's holoviewer files. These can be found by going to the store page for any ship page with a holoviewer model, using your browser to "view page source" and searching for ".ctm" which will take you to a string that looks like this: " /media/dwwjcjv8h77str/source/RSI-Constellation-Andromeda_LOD2.ctm" . Add "https://robertsspaceindustries.com" in front of that and paste it in your browser's address bar to get a download link for the model. Other models come from the game files themselves. For more information on extracting art assets from the game files, visit this thread: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/50172/thread/how-to-start-modding-existing-star-citizen-assets Some of these ships don't look right. What gives? Again, most of these ships come from the holoviewer files. CIG/Turbulent have been inconsistent with their implementation of the holoviewer. Many holoviewer models are outdated and others are simply missing. In those cases where ships in my chart are outdated, it is usually because that is the best version I have access to, so far. You got the size of the [SHIP NAME HERE] horribly wrong! Have you even seen the stats page? You're a bad person and you should feel bad! Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries! I do my best to keep the chart as accurate as possible. Sometimes that means following the notoriously unreliable Ship Matrix, other times it means trusting in the model itself. Sometimes I have to make judgement calls based on a number of conflicting sources of information. I put a lot of effort into getting it right, but ultimately you shouldn't expect this chart to be perfect or rely on it as a credible source. If you think something on the chart is wrong, either because my logic is flawed or I just made a mistake, please feel free to say so. I will take any well reasoned argument for a size change seriously. Just know that in the end I'm going to make my own judgement call. Can I use this in my blog/article/video/performance art piece? Sure! For most cases I only ask that you credit me and include a link to this post or to the complete album on imgur (http://imgur.com/a/TCXjW ). I do like seeing how people use my work, though, so let me know about it if you do! If you stand to profit from my work, contact me for permission before using it. I can be contacted here as well as on Reddit or Twitter via the links above. Can I just have your renders to use for my own purposes? You got it! Here is a Transparent Background Version of the chart to mess with: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1g9wnGrkdeWeWaVemtmQfoH7x5agKz7Pr Just follow the same usage instructions as above! Are you a wizard? Yes. My powers are beyond your comprehension! Elite: Dangerous Comparison: A few of you may know that my chart started off as an Elite: Dangerous - Star Citizen cross comparison. I actually posted every prior version of the chart on the old forums but, because it involved Elite, the thread was quickly sent to the "Other Games" subforum, to die. As such, I will not be including the Elite portion of my chart, here. If you want to see that, you can check out the complete imgur album, here: http://imgur.com/a/TCXjW There is not much to see, but if you want to check out the old thread, you can find it here: https://forums.robertsspaceindustries.com/discussion/347503/star-citizen-elite-dangerous-scale-comparison-chart/p1 Continued in first two comments...
