After losing everything four times, entirely due to server crashes - and having all progress attempting to start over being hampered by unresponsive mission AI and further server crashes - I am frustrated to the point where I want to bash my fists into my desk and scream. It only seems to be getting worse as more people pour in and overload the already unstable servers, rapidly crushing the servers from "Fresh server" to "Server on the verge of a crash where nothing works" in mere minutes. Levski elevators start to fail, ATC landing control starts taking ages to process ships, Mission AI sit with their thumbs up their digital behinds - then complain about being tired of waiting FOR YOU when you finally leave. (That would be funny, if it weren't costing me more time I needed to recover from the LAST batch of errors) Add on the fact that Cargo is almost entirely unprofitable - the drug lab is constantly camped by trolls because it's the only profitable venture for small cargo ships - (and the fact that if you DO manage to get a cargo load, the server can easily crash and leave you broke anyway) What's the point of this rant? Why am I bitchin'? Well - I'm having a pretty bad time with this update- and I know my way around most of the bugs that can be avoided or worked-around - I don't think it makes a good sell for a "Free Fly Weekend" if it's showcasing horrific server instability, broken missions, and a broken economy with a ridiculous troll-trap, on top of the 'workable' bugs. TL;DR : Please do whatever possible to fix the server crashes/degradation - it makes for a very bad representation of the project to potential new backers during this free-fly weekend.
