Greetings testers! We have implemented a major overhaul of mining balance and resource distribution in game along with some quality of life changes to mining overall. These are significant changes and should have a heavy impact on the gameplay loop. The general goals of this overhaul are to: Making mining more approachable Increase the value of mining common and uncommon materials Decrease the over-reliance on quantanium Create a more realistic and uneven distribution of mineable materials More variation in resource attributes, sizes, and masses Create a niche for both the multicrew mining (Mole) and solo mining (Prospector) Please see the patch notes for a more detailed description of all of these changes. Given the scope of this change, we are keen to get your feedback but will need some specifics on the particular aspects of your mining run. For now, we are most interested in assessing the difficulty, distribution, and strategies you all start to develop as you learn the new system. Some key questions: What were did you find yourself mining and did you have a target resource/percentage? Why did you choose the above? How much time did it take you to find a specific element or percentage? Did you settle on a mining head, module, and gadget combination? If you tried multicrew, how did it compare to solo? What kind of income per hour are you able to earn? What was your highest earning strategy/mineable? Along with how you felt about the update and the difficulty of this new system in general! Thanks for your input and have fun testing! -Baior Player Experience Team
