Its been great for Free-Fly and exploring (HUGE KUDOS) - but that will get old quick for most play-testors, especially the new ones. In the PU, where most players start with meager aUEC, we need methods to earn, so we can buy stuff and test missions at the same time. I've been lucky to complete an avg 3/10 missions. If we dont get working missions, the PU will devolve into an edgy grief-fest, like several patches did for months at a time this year. Mining is great when it works, and if you have a Prospector. Cargo hauling is way too risky for too little profit without cargo insurance. I bought one helmet and took me 6 hrs to earn that cost back. I dont dare do the SPK FPS mission because if I get killed or game crashes, I will lose my weapon. If we cant get missions fixed, so that play-testors can earn credits, we will get nickled and dimed by penalties. Fees for ship claims when ships spawn unflyable, weapons and cargo lost due to death or crash - these are basically penalties - these penalty mechanics work great - they are some of the ONLY stable gameplay mechanics at the moment - and they shouldnt even be in game yet - not until we have reliable mechanics for earning credits. I (and I think most players) would much rather have all basic mechanics working with 90% reliability, over getting the meager new features of 3.4. Please seriously consider this - especially since there will be an inevitable development lull over the holidays - it would be most beneficial overall to have working missions and basic mechanics so we can enjoy testing over the dev break and before the next patch. If we cant get missions fixed for 3.4, or before the holidays, please increase our starting aUEC to minimum of 50k. Thanks and great work CIG! :slightly_smiling_face:)
