Greetings, We have introduced proximity assist, a new flight system designed to provide subtle control when making fine maneuvers near surfaces by automatically dampening thruster output. Proximity assist can be disabled in the options menu, but be sure to give it a thorough test. Does it make hovering near the ground feel more controllable? Does it make landing feel smoother? Does proximity assist ever feel obtrusive or like its getting in the way of your intended flight goal? We have also added a manual toggle "J" for VTOL on those ships that have alternate thruster configurations. This will allow those ships situational control of the direction of greatest thrust.
