Look, I love the idea of Star Citizen, exploring space, and I love my new Cutlass Black. But right now, it is unplayable. It is ridiculous to have to spend an hour or more every single time you go online, just to retrieve your ship just to be able to attempt to start earning some cash. Yesterday I was stuck on Lorville for unable to retrieve a ship, until a good samaritan gave me a ride to another port where I could "claim" and "retrieve" my ship. Today, I spawned into the Freelancer in the middle of nowhere, click on a destination, but as soon as I move the mouse cursor to click "Set Route" the route disappears. Spooled the QD and pointed the ship at HUR-L5, it calibrated, but QT didn't want to Engage. Tried a bunch of different things but ended up Self Destructing the ship to be able to get to a port. Woke up at Port Olisar, went down stairs, Selected my Cutlass Black and clicked "Retrieve", "Your ship is being delivered to the following landing pad..." waited, waited, waited... "Unfortunately our automatic ship retrieval system is unable to retrieve that ship at this time...." clenching my fist by the time "Unfortunately..." is uttered and the "Error" screen pops up... mustering all the self control I can not to break my fist against a wall. Five years... "Five Years" and I still can't sit through a single session without bugs wasting hours of my time. I was thirty nine when I backed this project with great enthusiasm five years ago, I am turning forty four this year, and find myself wondering if I will ever see the "Beta", never mind full release before my fifties. I can't help but think you guys are spread too thin. I also can't help but feel utterly disappointed that the project I helped back, and paid for, seems to be on the back burner while my investment is being used to develop a completely separate game (Squadron 42). If you had put all those resources into Star Citizen, the game might have been out Alpha and completely playable by now. But no, instead of finishing the lower floors of this hundred story sky scraper so the poor saps who got the project off the ground, we are sitting down here with rope and pulley elevators, half built walls with no windows and cardboard boxes for doors, while you are attending to Penthouse of the rich guy upstairs. And what's that, oh, it's been more than fourteen days so I can't get my investment back even though I didn't play the game for five years because it was unplayable, and apparently still is today. I am a heart beat away from starting a Youtube channel, cataloging all the bugs and wasted hours spent just to get going. Glitching in between bulkheads when getting into the Freelancer with the ladder, getting stuck and having to commit suicide to get out of it. Glitching while trying to get out of the Freelancer pilot seat, being unable to commit suicide and having to force quit. Picking up a delivery, traveling 42 million kilometers only to not be able to deliver it "Request Not Found". Picking up a delivery, traveling 42 million kilometers only to find it fell out of the Origin Jumpworks 315P cargo hold when you went into QT. Finally able to make two deliveries, and feet away from the last one, you get disconnected. Reconnect, the system discarded the missions you were busy with, and oh look. Your back at Lorville and have to claim your ship because it is lost in space. After a 16 min wait, what's that.... "Unfortunately our automatic shit retrieval system....." Trying to place a package in the Origin Jumpworks 315P cargo hold while the whole thing slowly closes on you and tramps you inside. You wake up at a space station and the bloody elevator doesn't come, so you can't get to the Lobby to get to your ship. You get into a tram on Lorville and can't get out of it, just a ghost tram running through you ever couple of second coming and going to and from the station. Being stuck not two minutes into the game unable to go anywhere because you can't retrieve your ship. You request landing clearance, you get landing clearance, you land where the spanner indicates... nope sorry, your are illegally parked, your ship is now impounded for nearly 30 mins. etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc etc.... the list goes on and on and on and on and on. You see my frustration? Then I go selling this awesome game to my friend, and a week later I end up eating my words because he is pissed off that he wasted his money and can't do anything. He even got 40,000 aUEC Penalties with no idea why. I want to play while I still can. I don't want to have to leave the game in my Last Will and Testament to my Grand Children so they can play it when it is finally finished when they are in their teens. At this moment, it is 80% fighting against bugs, and 20% enjoyment. Log a support ticket... sure. Get an automated reply in like 2 mins flat. Get a reply.... ahhh whenever we get 'round to it. I am also afraid that you are going to run out of money developing Squadron 42 before finishing the game I actually paid for. Stop dangling carrots in front of me about the great and wonderful things to come. FIX WHAT IS THERE NOW SO I CAN PLAY AND ENJOY MY INVESTMENT. I'm sorry, but I had to get that off my chest. I can't find anything in "This week on star citizen" about the acknowledgement of these bugs or any ETA of fixing it.
