I remember when that was the complaint against games like NMS and E:D, but SC was going to be different, and that's why it was taking so long. But 14 years in, as we continue to have ships added and CIG touts another PG planet, I don't see the depth. Half the systems aren't in the game and the other half are T0, we don't have basics like flight mechanics or chat, or org systems in place. The environments are incredibly static and non-interactive. We don't even have working NPCs. I think about the density of something like Skyrim and then look at the SC universe, and it's copy-paste bunkers, and ASD facilities, and the like; and (again) the lack of actual stuff at them and wonder what happened.
