I'd really like to know, from the DEV team, what the vision is for piracy at 1.0 and beyond. The current trajectory doesn't give me much hope that there'll be gameplay there for me anymore. In fact I feel like we're being actively pushed out by design choices designed to make us lose interest. 1) What's the end-state for mission-marked cargo? Can we sell it somewhere for reasonable value? Will that be balanced so commodity trading is ever actually worth it again? 2) Will rep ever replace mechanics like 'marked cargo'? 3) Is there a reason marked cargo doesn't come up as marked in scans? If a scanner can't tell then why can't we sell it at full value? All this does is make us kill players we wouldn't normally and waste our time. 4) Will there be some way to prevent ship bricking after capturing a ship, to fly back to Grim to sell its cargo? 5) On bricking in general: If it's designed to stop duping it fails at that objective. With the cost of insurance, do we even need to prevent it? 6) What tools will pirates get to help the trade? The snare only works on lazy traders. Can we expect mechanics like quantum tackling, tracking, region scanning to ever be implemented? 7) Will Armistice zones actually get removed at some point? Why was the one at Grim Hex the only one in the game to be removed? Was it just to allow space dads in Scorpius' to exploit the turret mechanics against people they perceive as griefers?
