This game is an MMO. Mega Multiplayer Online. Currently all that means is that there are other players in the game at the same time we're there. At every opportunity Cooperative play is discouraged in this game. Rewards - Split SCU allocation - Split Secondary currencies - Split or not accurately distributed Multicrew - Only for roleplaying as any ship with turrets that warrant multiple people are worse off than just bringing multiple ships Crime - If your crew turns on you the crime system is woefully inadequate Engineering - Nonexistent Wikelo - You want a new ship? Go run an event where you have to kill a worm with insane HP that requires a group so only one person can get the thing they want as the rewards aren't enough for a group. We're on year 12 since the kickstarter and somehow this multiplayer game still actively discourages interacting with others. Yes I know the game is still in development and everything is subject to change but I would feel like something so core to the game design should be one of the foremost issues to be tackled, but it isn't. Now I know one of the big concerns is how to avoid duplication and the like which is fair. But splitting everything reward based between the party just means that you're making less than just running the thing solo. At least distribute and give an incentive to work together. To avoid dupes just have there be a 50km radius for the supporting party to have to be within to get credit or something along those lines. Make turrets lethal, give them a power bonus, range bonus, fire rate bonus, accuracy bonus, just anything along those lines that would make crewing a connie or corsair worthwhile. Make Crime an actual problem for those who commit. There are a vast many solutions and not all of them are perfect which I understand, but this is a core design element of the game, why are we being punished for having friends? For playing together? For grouping up?
