To my knowledge the role and responsibilities of Community Managers vary depending on the industry. What I believe is lacking from CIG is once again the communication. All we can do is share feedback without ever knowing if it actually reaches the right person. If we are looking for information we rarely get an answer on multiple platforms. "They collaborate with developers to convey player feedback and suggestions and help shape the future direction of the game. In addition, they serve as a source of information, as they inform the community about upcoming content, patches and fixes, and foster a transparent and confidential relationship between players and studios." Then how come our concerns and questions very often end up unanswered? Why is there no confirmation or correction of facts on topics? How else is the communication supposed to flow between community and dev team? Ive tried multiple means over the years and its always frustrating. Lets take the simple Quantum fuel capacity changes as a topic. There are multiple ships unable to travel or even go through jump gates due to the changes. Why is there no simple statement "We know of these Issues and it will be fixed before the patch goes live"? Why do we have to guess if CIG is aware of something critical? This is my opinion. Please educate me if im wrong. Please tell me how we can get information if its not from the community managers.
