I get that Blockade runner is a sensible evolution of the old Ninetails lockdown event: you vary the station impacted to various LEOs you extend the old blockade to include new cargo mechanics - sure. it makes sense that this might have been an easier lift than something from scratch. This makes total sense from a development perspective However. Your communication continues to be shit. somehow in the middle of your ISC about this mission, someone plants a quote along the lines 'we hear that you've been asking about non combat missions and' then you plant a f*cking combat mission for everyone to engage. I have NO problem with what is being promised by the the blockade runner mission - I'm excited and looking forward to enjoying this. But its painful and frustrating to have seen so many people request peaceful/non-combat mission over many months, then you ACKNOWLEDGE it , and then once we have the potential for real non-combat gameplay - immediately blow it off by muddling into an overall combative event. Is this truly the limit of your imagination? or do you genuinely not listen to the feedback in your own forums that appear in droves? What exactly is your message? 'we hear you , but we don't plan to care about it?' 'Here is a great mission for everyone , including those less enthusiastic about combat?' 'we think you're asking for more non-combat elements mixed with combat elements - b/c we'll always have combat elements. there is no way people don't want combat elements." And its true, there are already plenty of messages on this topic complaining about this - great. but you have not demonstrated that you've understood their complaints. so there clearly should be more. A lot more. ( it is getting frustrating to see a non-trivial portion of the community complain about certain matters, and CIG (you) continue to acknowledge it properly, and ignore it - and I don't even feel so strongly about non-combat gameplay, but I sure-as-fuck recognize what the proponents ask for on a regular basis) PS: This was me venting on a moments irritation, and should have been thought out a bit more in tone before I posted this. I don't take back what I stated, but I didn't intend for it to come out as strongly as it did (and then of course I leave for life and come back to a massive thread). My point was that, especially with shows like ISC where the scenes are edited, the sound bytes are selected, and the presentation is crafted - some additional thought needs to go into how its going to be construed. The Feedback was meant for the ISC team. I don't expect everyday developers to have to worry about these things. If you acknowledge feedback but aren't ready to deliver on it yet, then be explicit about it.
