I already endorsed a thread here: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/4/thread/even-on-ice-lakes-you-can-t-go-five-feet-with-out- discussing this topic, but as it's a bit too specific I felt to create a new thread for this. First off, you did a really great job with planet tech V4. I literally can't get my eyes off it. But as soon as I touch the ground and want to enjoy the planet in a ground vehicle, I realize I can't go anywhere without a rock standing in my way, literally all the time. I am not necessarily asking for less rocks, but for a tighter and more intuitive distribution of them, in a large and in a small scale. As awesome pt v4 is, the rock distribution feels like "because we can". I do want rocky areas (especially in mountain areas, steep / cliff terrain), but not just everywhere. I also want large green praeries where I can cruise around freely. I would even go so far that you create biomes which have literally zero rocks, or at least only some little groups here and there. I can't say it enough, it really is an immersion breaker and I do hope that you will address this soon, even if it may sound trivial (I know you guys have much to do with getting out 3.8 to the PU). With your new pt v4 deployed, I can imagine it is "just" a bit of fiddling around with some numbers or generated heightmaps. Adding some screenshots. Again, I think the rocks are blending in very nicely with the steeper areas, but the flater ones need a cleanup imo. Thank you for your great work guys!
