In the greatest of calm, CIG has really just listened to all the Spectrum crybabies by reducing the time to switch from SCM mode to NAV mode to 2sec with a Gladius, which is a FIGHTER ???! I can understand that switching to SCM mode is quick, for Quantum exits or interceptions, but the reverse is scandalous. Version 3.22 Master Mode, with its long loading time to switch to Nav mode, was already open to abuse without any strategic reflection. Now it's becoming absurd. This removes any sense from Master Modes, which are there to stop people running away at full speed in the middle of a fight. Taking the fight should be a strategic choice, master modes were sold that way and it should stay that way. There are also a number of other unresolved balancing issues, such as : - The laser cannons are slightly too powerful for the repeaters. - Not enough forward boost to counter the excessive backstraff. - The Mass Driver / Singes / Scattergun are useless or badly balanced. - Sniper Mode is useless. - Overall balancing of battleship resistance is questionable. - Size 3 shields that don't let distortion damage through. - And a whole host of other things that I certainly haven't thought of. These have been repeated several times, to no effect. I'm willing to believe that the current version of Master Modes isn't finished. But if you can't take half a day to balance what needs balancing, please do NOT take that same time to undo the last two years of work for the noisy minority that is Spectrum. EDIT : After playing all weekend, I can confirm that Master Modes are broken. Anyone can leave battle without any difficulty. It's even worse than in 3.22, since those who stay in SCM mode can't follow them at all. And let me be clear. I'm not talking about a situation with a Mantis. Interdictor or not, it can't be easy to leave a fight you've started yourself, it must take some skill. Right now, it's ridiculously easy. In my opinion, it would take a minimum of 5 to 8 seconds for a light fighter to switch to Nav mode. That gives everyone a chance. If the pilot is good, he can noise and dodge shots while waiting to be in Nav Mode. If the attackers are good, they can neutralize him before he has time to flee. And to keep everyone happy, all you have to do is reduce the time to change modes for non-combatant ships. My serious and complete feedback is still available here. I edit it regularly according to the changes in game : https://robertsspaceindustries.com/spectrum/community/SC/forum/4/thread/mm-feedback-one-week-later-and-several-dozen-hours
