Hello dear CIG team, hello dear community, I’d like to share my feedback on what’s currently happening around "Alinge and Mine". I’m a relatively small streamer with limited reach, but that allows me to represent the average player experience quite well. The new sandbox activity is, in principle, a great idea – finally something different! Even if many call it “just another PvP event,” I enjoy the tactical challenge and the need for group coordination. The concept is well-made – at least in theory. My personal experience: The Hathor PAF-1-3 and most OLPs simply don’t work. They’re bugged and unplayable – just like on the PTU before the patch went live. Batteries can’t be inserted anymore, the OLPs stay locked and red. This shouldn’t have made it into the live version after the PTU phase. Still, the community keeps trying to make the best of it – and that deserves credit. CIG is lucky to have such a dedicated player base. But let me remind you of the Quality of Life promise made in one of the earlier Inside Star Citizen episodes this year. Even if you manage to survive the chaos, you’ll get rammed, shot down, or taken out by 1-man Polaris ships – because nobody’s really afraid of prison anymore. But kill one NPC and you get 24 hours in jail. The frustration is real – and it gets worse: Major Problems & Frustration Points: Shield Bug: A fully crewed Polaris can’t defeat a 2-man Polaris with bugged shields. The fight drags on forever because shields just instantly bug back to full – frustrating, especially if you’ve spent over €1000 on that ship. A1 Bombs: A single A1 bomb can instantly wipe out a Polaris – or several – near the hole. Meanwhile, it takes 3-4 S10 torpedoes just to disable one other Polaris. That’s wildly unbalanced: Damage Example: Polaris Torpedo (S10): 750,000 DMG Crusader Stormburst (S5): 46,702 DMG Anyone with basic math skills can see that this doesn’t add up. Gameplay Exploits: After losing their ships, teams retreat into the cave to mine and defend. Then chaos hits. Small ships rush in and kill everyone – some of it can be countered, sure. But it gets worse: Players bug their ships into the planet, hide behind cave walls and shoot through geometry at everything inside. Not to play the event, but to cheat, exploit, and troll for fun. My urgent request to CIG: Please realize what’s happening here. Your community is starting to fracture – and your quality promise is fading fast. Seriously consider implementing a Live / In-Game Support System. I could list more examples – all captured in video and streams – but let’s start with this small feedback: CIG – YOU NEED TO TAKE ACTION NOW!!!
