I am a big fan of tanks and the Nova is one of my favorite vehicles. With the Tumbril Storm, there are a significant amount of issues with this vehicle. I have driven and tested it extensively on any ground mission that I can. Right now it is difficult to see the value add from the Storm due to the following: PORTABILITY: Camural made an excellent video on this. Currently there are only a few vehicles that can actually carry the storm. These include: A2/M2/C2 Hercules Carrack Corsair (requires forcing and its not intuitive) 890J It is shocking the the Valkyrie cannot carry this vehicle. This makes transporting and dropping these into an AO very difficult, as you will require a very large and vulnerable ship to make the drop. AGILITY AND DRIVING FEEL: The Storm feels very clunky to drive because the wheels do not conform and grip the ground properly. Small rocks, debris, and elevations slow the vehicle heavily and it feels sluggish to get around them. For a light tank, the acceleration is very poor. While the vehicle has a decent top speed and movement, it takes some time to get there. Many times you are hitting obstacles and slogging through terrain due to how easily elevation changes and small rocks impact acceleration. Due to the lack of ground conformity of the vehicle, this bounces and jerks the top gun heavily. While driving in turret mode, which is the vehicle's combat configuration, the elevation changes jerk the turret so hard that it is impossible to land shots while the tank is moving. It just does not feel good at all. The tank does not feel fast, it does not feel responsive, and it does not give the feel of a stable firing platform while its skirmishing. This fails at every category that (in my opinion) a light skirmisher/scout tank should be striving to achieve. Also the turret has very high sky elevation, which makes sense as it was not designed to engage air targets. Also as a note, the viewing screen randomly reboots while switching to and from turret view -which is very annoying. The boot screen should only happen ONE TIME when the vehicle is turned on or when recovering from an EMP shutdown. SURVIVAL POWER: I would rate this a 1. While the tank is fine against small arms fire, a single hand grenade or CF-788 shot to the back of the tank destroys all components -rendering the tank inoperable. It is only really useful for clearing NPC outposts and areas where you don't know where the AI is and need a safe patrol vehicle to kill them. However, you can do this in an URSA, which can be carried in many more vehicles, can carry multiple people, and has an atmospheric interior + storage. For general PVE clearing and reaching bunkers, I would not take this over an URSA. UPSIDES: The high dps of Storm main gun is the only upside, everything else are cons. RECOMMENDATIONS: Acceleration buff Better grip to the ground and ability to traverse smaller obstacles without losing all acceleration or getting stuck Better stable view and less jerk on the main turret view when driving. This thing needs to attack on the move and right not it can't Significant survival buffs, especially to the back of the vehicle where light AOE damage bleeds through and disables it Confirmation from the devs that the Valkryie back ramp will be widened on gold pass to accommodate the Storm. Better and smoother entry and exit to the Corsair, with less jank and invisible walls. Fix the internal viewing screen from constantly rebooting when switching views. The boot screen should only happen ONE TIME when the vehicle is turned on or when recovering from an EMP shutdown. NOTE: Moving this feedback to the official Storm thread.
