There's a greatly annoying issue pertaining to the equity in corpse looting between criminal and lawful players, the issue can be summed up quite easily Criminal players can loot lawful player's corpses because those corpses stay there to allow lawful player to try and retrieve them (way too often impossible though) Lawful players can only loot criminal player's corpses if said criminal player hasn't been sent to prison through any of the mechanisms that can do so (bounties, call to arm, various security features, ...). That is because if a criminal player get sent to prison, his corpse (including all equipments) disappear. (and i never thought to check about their ship and ship inventory yet) There is simply no justifiable reason as to why criminal players get some form of equipment protection system when lawful players don't. Nor is there any justifiable reason as to why their ships get auto-claimed for free when any lawful player who loose his ship will have to pay for it. In my opinion, this inequality in treatment stems from the addition of Death of a Spaceman T0 when it was added over what was already there previously in the law & prison system. DoaS T0 added death and lootable corpses into the game, but the previous additions to the prison system to prevent equipment losses when being sent into a prison (due to changes in loadouts) wasn't taken into account when DoaS T0 was added. This need to be rectified. While allowing criminals to keep some of their equipments when exiting prison if, but only if, they surrender is fine (though i don't believe any lawful police force would let them keep their weapons), there is no reason to allow them such if they refused to surrender and had to be brought down forcefully. PS : To people saying that lawful players shouldn't be allowed to loot criminal's corpses, i'll remind you that the thievery gameplay loop DOES exist with security scans, fines and fence (which is also what piracy is based upon in the first place). If lawful players want to engage in that gameplay loop and it's inherent risks, it should be their choice, nothing, most of all not some corpse disappearing feature as we currently have, should prevent them from doing so.
