I ran into a critical bug that seems to corrupt the data files of your account on the server side. On the PTU, the only workaround I found was to recopy my account, now that it happens live too, I don't know how to fix it, but more importantly, having your account corrupted is something that should not, in any case, happen on the server side. Here is the issue council entry to contribute: https://robertsspaceindustries.com/community/issue-council/star-citizen-alpha-3/STARC-70691-Can_t_log__Error_CIG_services__CODE_15006_/contribute UPDATE: From what we could test with my friends and following the discussion here, the bug seems to be server side: retrying to log in until it works is the good solution, no firewall tweak needed, no reinstall needed (yes we tried this one too), no suppression of the USER folder needed, no verify either. You just have to try until the system recover from the error on server side. From time to time people do something and the system is working again but it seems to be more luck related than anything else. Rollbacks can happen up to several minutes. My feeling is that it looks like the account evolution (progression) is stored in a SVN like database, each commit (saves) give you the differences with the previous state, when the bug occurs, the new commits are corrupted until you quit the game, when you reconnect, you have a rollback to the last non corrupted version of the account. I don't know if my hypothesis is the good one, but I hope it can help to fix it.
