Update 2 Experimented with a Raven new range is about 500 meters to impacted shields. 400 or less shuts down the ship. Closer the longer the shut down. Recharge is about 15 Updated by adding a vid of me killing an NPC Cutlass using a Warlock. Thing to note is the cycle time of the EMP pulse. Once I got the Cut powered down it stayed dead in space due to the repeated exposure until it died. It is only 50 seconds long so check it out Hi The EMP mechanic is so totally over powered that there are now two classes of ships, those with EMP and their victims. 2.6.3 was bad but with a little luck and a lot of skill you could take out a warlock but mostly you died. It was Warlock shoots two Rattlers pops it's EMP and the victim's ship died. If you got off your missiles at the Warlock before the EMP hit you could take him with you. Now it is even less balanced with the EMP ships. That the Raven and Warlock are now maintaining their power and shields during the EMP release is pretty much game breaking for every other ship. So Now it is Raven pops it's EMP you loose shield and power Raven shoots you will your shield start coming back Raven pops it's EMP then repeat. You have zero chance of escaping or overcoming it. I honestly have to say that we at a point that the game may be better off without this mechanic. Big Note here I have a Raven, Warlock, Hawk and and the Vanguard Sentinel BUK so I am in a position to take full advantage of the imbalance of EMP , but it is not good for the game. Some friends of mine aptly prove how over powered EMP is when they forced a player controlled Star Fairer to the ground in the linked video below. Using repeated EMP blasts to prevent it from moving until they broke in and killed the pilot. Boarding was supposed to require a lot of skill and more than a bit a of luck. That is not the case in 3.0, you just need an EMP ship and a boarding team game over. Grand Theft Spaceship DEV's you guys really need to fix this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1MqdqncmkQ&t= https://youtu.be/nNM0pzVTYRI
