Workaround 1 from @Phauxnixx 1.- Press Start 2.- Type "Notepad" + right click it and "run as administrator" 3.- Open the file C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc\hosts 4.- Enter ONE of this line at the bottom of the file: - 107.23.216.36 public.universe.robertsspaceindustries.com or 3.212.136.72 public.universe.robertsspaceindustries.com or 52.22.132.164 public.universe.robertsspaceindustries.com or 52.21.221.45 public.universe.robertsspaceindustries.com - 5.- Save + close the file. Try to login again. Remember to remove this once they resolve the 16k error. - Workaround 2 from @Arnianor 1.- Have your live star citizen folder open, and launch the game 2.- When the game launches, it creates a json file called "loginData.json" 3.- Quickly open this file, and replace the hostname with "elb-pub-alpha-use1-hubs-001-1892799263.us-east-1.elb.amazonaws.com" and save Extra info about the json file by @ZerbArus: The json file can be found in your StarCitizen\LIVE folder If your "open and replace quickly" is not quick enough, just keep the file open and spam Ctrl-S (save) when you launch the game again. (editor used: standard windows notepad) - Workaroun 3: Use a VPN and connect to a sever in US - Hi, as many fellow Europeans im getting the error 16007. After doing some research it seems the AWS European servers havent been updated. This error is not exclusive to Europeans or the outdated server situation, but if you are in Europe, today, its probable is for this reason. To check this you can enter in CMD and write tracert public.universe.robertsspaceindustries.com Resetting your account wont fix it, unless the server have been updated, in that case it can work. Opening TCP 8000 doesnt do nothing, at least until the servers are fixed. Deleting USER or appdata/rsilauncher folders doesnt work, but it can fix other problems. You can use a vpn (like proton) to connect to US servers, connect to AWS US servers and play with lag. Copy the link and if you see people asking, share the link to avoid repeating the same explanation a hundred times. Thats all until a lovely CIG network dev decides to save the day working a sunday, bless him when that happens. I will delete this when the problem is solved. - The plan was to delete this post after the error have been fixed, but it seems some people find it useful to this day, so the post will stay, forever, mainly for players that need to delete the workarounds, but it seems it works, in general, for people with the error 16007
