I’ve been testing the new Quality system in Alpha 4.7, and while the concept is interesting, the current implementation has two major flaws that make it feel like a chore rather than a feature. Problem 1: Too Much Granularity (Inventory Bloat) The 0-1000 scale is a nightmare for warehouse management. Having dozens of slightly different quality levels for the same materials is clogging up inventory and making stacking impossible. * The Fix: Simplify this to a 1–5 Tier system. This would keep the "chase" for high quality while making items actually manageable and stackable in our warehouses. Problem 2: Luck vs. Skill (The "Lotto" System) Right now, finding high-quality ore is pure luck. It feels like a lottery rather than a reward for being a good miner. I personally spent 6 hours flying around and couldn't find any Gold higher than 815 quality. This makes mining feel like a waste of time because my skill as a miner doesn't matter—only my luck with the RNG scan does. * The Fix: Link the final quality to player performance. If I crack a rock perfectly and manage the extraction well, the quality should increase. Let mining skill determine the outcome, not just a "lucky rabbit's foot" find.
