...and the onus is on you, to resolve it. Because clearly the playerbase either can't or it refuses to... It's like all the people that made Jumptown fun, suddenly don't give a shit anymore. The only thing that is winning out is bitterness, hostility, and a disturbing level of sociopathy. Some of the posts I am seeing on these threads, genuinely disturb me... where we have players that want to actively deny enjoyment of the game for other players, in the name of their own. There are no players offering reconciliation. No one is offering resolution. No one is coming up with any ideas to resolve this. Feedback from developers has been mixed, and has only served to fuel the bitterness of the division. You WANT people to be debate gameplay issues. You DON'T want people actively trying to drive each other from playing the game. There's no attempt at resolving PvP and PvE. There are only attempts to disparage, discredit, and destroy. Both sides in the debate, feel like the game isn't worth playing if they can't play the way they want to. Regardless of the sentiment, the people that are really losing out here are solo players. The very ones that make up the majority of SC's playerbase. This event is revealing a systemic failure with SC's open sandbox design, and is also revealing a failure to uphold The Pledge. This much animosity, disappointment, and bitterness is NOT the intended effect that the game should be having on its players. CIG, you guys need to sit down, look at this shit, and do some root cause analysis. Because this is a major failure.
