TTK Tests from 7/12/21. 100m distance, shot from the front, stationary target. This means these TTK's are the MOST OPTIMAL conditions for TTK. AKA - If the "bad guy" pilot was actually moving and shooting there's no way you'd achieve these TTK's. Default Loadout Super Hornet VS: 300i - 7.1s Arrow - 4.3s Caterpillar - 58.5s Taurus - 41.5s Freelancer 15.5s Gladius - 5.5s Hammerhead - 5:24 Retaliator - 18s VGW - 16.9s Full Ballistic SH VS: Caterpillar - 31.61s Taurus - 22.8s Full Ballistic Buccaneer VS: Taurus - 23.25s I would argue that fighters are not blasting through S2/S3 shields "like paper" with the exception of the Retaliator (and possibly the freelancer, but we can debate that one) which probably needs more hull hitpoints and/or a bigger shield. I'm not making a statement about whether or not 58.5s on a Caterpillar is "the best" or "the appropriate" value for the survival of a Caterpillar. I am simply stating that there is a lot of misinformation going around about how S2/S3 shields just get deleted by light fighters, so I used a Medium Fighter and as you can see, any of the bigger ships with turrets would have plenty of time to maneuver to rotate their shield facings, employ turret gunners, etc. Also worth noting that the Revenants don't appear to overheat, ever, so the full ballistic loadouts benefit from what appears to be an oversight at the moment.
