After grinding till the master rank in the Covalex reputation for about 15h to 20h, I can definitely say that all the missions of hauling are not worth your time. I will post some screenshots of the various missions you can have and explain why they are not worth it. For all the missions, I would assume that we are already at the starting point of the mission. This mission is generally on the first tier of the grind in the junior rank; it asks you to load 10 SCU at Seraphim and deliver it at CRU-L1. Seraphim and CRU-L1 are not far away but the issue whit the first tier of mission is that most of the time you get the cargo on 1scu box format so in this case you have 10 box to move, depending on your ship, your skill whit a tracktor beam and the server temper the loading is a task that can take between 1min to 3min , the travel time depend on the ship you take and on the quantum drive you have but lets assume that you use a C1 spirit whit the default XL1 drive, from the moment you call the ATC of Seraphim to exit your hangar to the moment you land at CRU-L1 theyr approximatly (20s for hangar door opening at Seraphim + 5s QT Drive calibration + ~1min for the QT + 20s for hangar door at CRU-L1 + 20s of maneuvring time for all the travel) so in the best scenario we look at a little over 2min of travel At that point, you had the loading and unloading of the cargo, and you got a total time of around 6 minutes for the mission in the best condition, all of that for just 3.5k, so you made a little over 500 UEC per minute with this mission. For reference, the best trading route I can make with a C1 is a BlackBerry run on Microtech. With the new cargo, if you take an 8SCU box, you have a run of around 9–10 minutes that can give you a profit of around 30k depending on demand and supply, so in total, you make around 3k/min. But it gets worse for the hauling mission as you progress in the reputation. As you can see on this mission level member, you have to haul 450 scu from Port Tressles to Everus Harbord for 17.5k. First, you need a ship that can carry those 450 SCU, and in that section, you find a handful of ships that can complete the mission in one go, making more trips with a smaller ship or with a friend, which reduces the earning, so I will not calculate it. Generaly speaking, the big mission is to give a 32-scu box and some smaller ones to fill and get the correct number. This makes the Caterpillar a no-go since the biggest box it can take is the 24-scu, and the only option is the Hercule series with the C2 as the best option. The mission gives you 14 boxes of 32 SCU and one box of 2 SCU. The loading time takes more time since the boxes are larger and you need to effectively grid lock them so you can load all of them. Generally speaking, it takes between 5 and 10 minutes to do the loading and the same for the unloading. The travel time between the two stations is around 7-8 minutes with TS2 as the QT drive. So in the best situation with no server issue, it takes close to 20 minutes to do this mission and gain 17.5k, so you make almost 1 kaUec/min. To compare to a trading route, we have the Seraphim to Pyro gateway with a load of Helium and a similar run time, you can make around 2k/min. But it gets worse for the hauling mission as you progress in the reputation. As you grind your way through the mission, you will eventually reach the last stage of your hauling reputation with the most stupid mission. I'm not going to comment on this one since the reward is so low for the quantity you have to move (10k for a total of 95scu that you have to deliver to two different places). This senior-level mission is very interesting, but when you read in the small line, you find that you have to deliver to four different places that are not close to each other, and at that, you have to count exactly how many scu you should leave on which elevator since the boxes are not labeled with the destination, just the cargo type they are. To finish at the top of the list are the master missions. Almost all the Master rank missions have more than 696 scu to haul, and to my knowledge, it is not yet possible to do the mission with a Hull-C, so to be the most efficient, you would need to make multiple trips with a C2 or have a friend with another ship to help you. The worst of all the missions I got proposed in Concract Manager is the one in the last screenshot: a Magnus to Terra (aka the longest possible travel in Hurston) haul mission with 3003 scu of cargo to deliver for only 52.5K. In solo travel time between the Magnus and Terra, you will need at least 5 runs to move all the cargo (3000/696 = 4.3). Travel between the two takes 10–12 minutes, so 20–24 minutes for a round trip, so a bare minimum of 90 minutes to do all the trips without taking into account the loading and unloading of the cargo. I personally think that all missions need to have their reward multiplied by x1.5, if not 2 at least, and for the big missions, the reward should be even higher. For the last route, I think a reward in the hundreds of thousands of AUC will encourage players to grind the rep and do the mission. I predict that if nothing is done about the reward fast, the hauling gameplay loop will be forgotten by the player base. As a reminder the time i talk about are in the best condition wich mean when the server are working fine and you don't have any issue at all
