Longtime backer since 2013 here. I'm pretty dissappointed in CIG for what it's done here. Let me give a sequence of events: 1) Many people, myself included, loved the pre-Master Modes flight model. 2) CIG replaces that model with a highly restrictive one that severely limits the range of speeds that one can operate in while in combat. 3) After much angst about MM, CIG promises eventually we'll be able to get some of that flexibility back. 4) CIG then releases paywalled flight blades that either give a laughable boost of 20 scm speed at the cost of 1-2 degrees of pitch/yaw, or gives you a boost of pitch/yaw of the same amount at the cost of 20 scm speed. It feels a lot like this: 1) I own a Lamborghini Diablo 2) Lambo comes and replaces the engine in my Lambo with one pulled from a Volkswagon Golf. 3) Lambo promises me I'll get the speed of my Diablo back after much complaining. 4) Lambo then tells me to come to the showroom, where I can have the engine from a Volkswagon Golf GT, but only if I pay up first. You're basically paywalling people for something that we had pre-MM, but 10 times better.
