To start, I will say that I understand and agree with piracy as a gameloop. If a mantis, light fighter, and some cargo ship caught me to take my cargo, awesome, good for you. But the countless times a single light fighters just flys around killing anyone they see through Stanton, not trying to get cargo or money, but just to kill because "Oh, look, a marker showed up on HUD". That is what I'm tired of. In a system that is suppose to be "high security" that BS happens WAY too often. once or twice? eh, whatever. In EVERY session trying to play this mess of a game? Yeah, it gets old real quick... But I will not play this mess any further until we have meaningful reputation and npc response to hostile actions made within the Stanton system. And with that rep, not allowing them to repair, refuel, or rearm like they has talked about in the past. I take out my reclaimer to salvage. On my return heading to the city, a player rammed into my ship and I lost it all. No, it was not an accident. They missed the first try, circled back, and tried again. Waited the 30 minutes to get reclaimer back. Flew out looking for salvage, while scraping a ship in space, a handful of enemy ships spawned in. 1 of the light fighters slammed into my stationary ship. I took damage but was still working. Then the 400I slammed into me and blew me up. So the retarded AI seems to be programmed to ram (I know they are not but they do so at a highly increased rate). Then I take my fortune out to salvage. At a RAF site. NPC ships from the OLP nose dive, 3 went stright into the ground next to me, 4th one right into me and blew me up. I get my fortune again, go back to another RAF. Almost full from salvaging abandoned ships. Player in a light fighter comes in and throws missiles. Good ol' SC countermeasures I dumped more than half of my flares and some noise, would not break lock and dead again. So I go try the ASD Facilities. 15 seconds after entering engineering wing, I was dropped by a player hiding in a corner. I take a C8R to another RAF site to loot, ship was blown up after landing by player then same player nose down shot me up. So not only are people just so easily and willfully killing on sight in Stanton but the retarded AI do what they can to give you a high five from their pilot seat to yours. All of these cool new locations being added to the "High security" system of Stanton and it has just been bad experience after bad experience, majority of said experiences coming from murderhobos. So I'm not bothering with this mess anymore until Stanton give actual consequences to attackers. Edit: Also, the knobs solely focusing on the "high security" part and ignoring the rest as if none of it happens: Not high security as in under a singular military rule. 4 Major corporations, each with their own little army. If someone is hostile in their territory, an npc response force from that corp should clear up it's space and deny services like refuel/rearm/repair to those with a criminal history. Which is why meaningful rep would be helpful. I've heard Stanton referred to as high security through the different podcast shows Jared has with devs. I could swear that I also heard it called that at a previous citcon slide. Those squaking about source are free to go through those hours of videos themselves. The point stands that meaningful rep and denying service to repeat offenders and an npc response group should still be the minimum even in a "Low security" system.
