I think it's a very bad idea at this stage in the game. There are zero pros to this mechanic. There are a whole bunch of cons. My primary concern is that it breaks immersion by creating incentive for players to act in an unrealistic manner. Everybody is going to want to be flying their ships naked. That's a HUGE immersion breaker to me. It means any rare or purchased armor we own will absolutely NEVER see the light of day. Cus we don't want to lose it. That is LAME. It was lame when nobody wanted to use our special/purchased weapons for fear of losing them and now it's worse cus we also have to never use our special armors. It doesn't make sense realistically speaking. Currently in-game when we die we wake up in bed. From a thematic sense i guess it's implying that it was only a bad dream? Why would we be missing items if we died in a dream? In 3.15 of course when we die we wake in a hospital. Why would the items we were wearing at the time we were injured not be returned to us by the hospital staff? Is that how they make their money? Rescue people and steal their belongings? That doesn't make sense. I understand that CIG wants to make dying suck but there are BETTER and more immersive ways for that to happen.
