Hey all, I'm a hopeless dreamer that just wants to build an awesome ship crew to go out and have a marvellous time together in the 'verse. I've persevered through every bug and lacking feature to work towards this goal. I've spent hours upon hours planning sessions, getting the funds to buy crew equipment (and replace it when it's lost to bugs), outfitting the ship and then running the sessions. I've met some great people that have been willing to give it a shot and occasionally we've seen some great moments together. You may have also seen me around the forum giving as much constructive feedback as I can (to absolutely zero reply). However The very game that has inspired me to go to all this effort, has also been crushing that inspiration, as well as shredding the motivation of everyone around me to keep on engaging with this game. The constant bugs, broken balancing and terrible design decisions have kept whittling away the will to play of everyone that has given the game a chance around me. Features and content that was previously working gets broken and sits unplayable for patches while the latest theme park experience is worked on. The lack of meaningful communication from CIG only serves to chip away at any remaining goodwill as well. It's a constant circus just trying to get people together with the litany of issues in this game. Why bother posting this? I'm tired, and frustrated, and I don't think the current development model is effective; CIG wants to have their cake and eat it too when it comes to building a somewhat stable experience, while simultaneously trying to develop the game all in the same environment. I would suggest that CIG works towards making LIVE stable with what we have now, and then using the PTU to move fast and break things to get the game developed, and just not add features to LIVE until they're actually ready. However I'm not a game dev, I don't have the knowledge or experience to make that call and even if I did I know I'm not going to get any reply and no one at CIG cares what I have to say. I know what it's like to experience the game though, and that is where I speak from. I guess in the end I wanted to add my voice to the mix of frustration that seems to be pervading the community (and quite reasonably so). I hope you all have better luck out there than I have been having. Stay safe and may your server errors resolve quickly o7
