I know it's silly but space in the PU just doesn't feel like a limitless expanse anymore. It's lost so much of its mystery and majesty. For me, of all the changes CIG has made in the last year, the new skybox is bar far the hardest for me to understand and accept. SC just doesn't feel like a space game anymore. We have been told it was changed to "make visibility in combat easier" but why is that suddenly a problem after a decade of the beautiful stars? I don't feel the sense of scale like I used to. Everywhere i fly feels like an Arena Commander map. I don't feel the idea that anything could be out there anymore. I don't want to explore. Combat isn't any 'easier' with the green, it hasn't effected anything at all when fighting other that giving you a feeling of being in AC. Planets seem smaller somehow, like their majesty and scale is gone. Stations no longer feel like a massive structure floating in the vastness of space, they now feel like toys on a playmat. I don't look at the stars anymore and get excited to fly and that just makes me sad.
